Respite Care
AvidCare’s Respite Care service supports the participant and the carer by giving them both a break, even for a short period of time. We believe in promoting life balance, this service can help give both parties the time and space to do things independently. For the participant, Respite Care can give you a boost of encouragement and a welcome change of routine.
For the support carer, this service can give you a chance to restore your energy and avoid burnout. Caring for a loved one 24/7 can be physically and emotionally exhausting. It can also be difficult to keep up with your own commitments while you are focused on providing the best care you can.
Even the most dedicated carers need a break sometimes to avoid burning out. By taking some time to care for yourself, you can continue to take great care of your loved one, too. Whether you need a short break to recharge your batteries, more regular support, or that short holiday you have been putting off, in-home respite care offers a great solution.

Implementation of Behaviour Support Plans
Our plans are designed to enhance the quality of life for individuals by promoting positive behaviors and reducing challenging ones. The process begins with a thorough assessment conducted by qualified professionals to identify specific behavioural issues and their triggers.
This plan includes proactive approaches such as environmental modifications, skill-building activities, and positive reinforcement techniques.
Regular reviews and adjustments are made based on the individual’s progress, making the plan dynamic and responsive to their evolving needs.
Quality support, tailor made for your situation.
Comprehensive Assessment
- In-depth analysis of participant behaviour and environment.
- Identifies underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
Collaborative Approach

- Ensures holistic and well-rounded support plans.
By aligning with NDIS guidelines and emphasizing a collaborative, adaptive approach, we ensure that the plans remain effective and beneficial over time, ultimately contributing to the individual’s overall well-being and quality of life.
